1911 Meeting Suspended for Public Discussion Period: The meeting was suspended
for public discussion but nothing was discussed.
1912 Declarations of
Interest:
The meeting was re-opened. Cllr Bailey declared an interest
on the Mandeville Stoke Farm, Whitchurch Canonicorum planning application
and Cllr Johnson declared an interest on the Wakeleys Farm, Whitchurch
Canonicorum planning application.
1913 Resolution to Approve the Minutes
of the Parish Council Annual General Meeting held on the 12th May 2008:
Cllr Parr asked that on item number 1899 it should read 16 ft sq and
Cllr Mansbridge said that under 1905 he has seen the Life Education van
at Marshwood School and it is excellent. The minutes were agreed as acceptable,
proposed by Cllr Mansbridge, seconded by Cllr Tubb, all agreed and signed.
1914 Actions Following Last Meeting:
The Clerk reported potholes in
Whitchurch Canonicorum to Dorset County Council, e-mailed Chideock Parish
Council regarding Vehicle Testing Station at Chideock, sent a letter
to Mr Norman regarding litter problems at Dairy Farm Holiday Cottages,
spoke to Burton Bradstock Parish Council regarding best kept village
signs, sent letters to Rights of Way Officers regarding continuing with
job, sent letter to Oliver Letwin regarding SID's and letter to Simon Christopher thanking him for audit.

Application to Consider:
Wakeleys Farm, Whitchurch
Canonicorum - Cllr Bailey and Cllr Diment looked at this application to erect an agricultural building for sheep and feed storage. There were no objections to the proposal but concerns were raised over the access and suggested screening needed.
Application to Note:
Manderville Stoke Farm, Whitchurch Canonicorum-
Cllr Parr and Cllr Diment looked at this application to replace metal
windows with wooden windows. There were no objections, it would enhance
the farmhouse and approval was recommended.

1917 Reports:
Cllr Newson reported that as from the 8th May 2008
there is a new procedure for the Code of Conduct. Any complaints should
go straight to West Dorset District Council in the first instance. Finally
he reported that there will be a planning meeting for Higher Monkton
Farm, Monkton Wyld but as yet no date.
Cllr Robinson reported that the
balcony at Whellers in Ryall is intrusive to neighbours and that if the
Planning Officer does not refuse it he will ask that it goes to Committee.
He reported that the problem with walkers in the area will be dealt with.
He reported that there is a Flood Warden meeting on the 4th July 2008.
Finally he asked that if anyone is interested in the subject of wind
turbines have a look at the planning application for Lower Hewood Farm
at Thorncombe and follow the progress.
Mr John Bridle reported to Cllr
Johnson that the steps and path leading to St Gabriels is now open.
Cllr
Diment reported that he had filled out a bus shelter cleaning survey
and sent it back to Dorset County Council.
Cllr Johnson reported that she had attended a BLAP meeting and it was
all about the Older People Project and reports.
Cllr Snook read through
the relevant parts of the DAPTC Newsletter.
Cllr Snook reported that
the Wootton Fitzpaine Village Hall held its first fete after 10 years
and it was a great success raising around £1,200 profit which is earmarked for a new kitchen in the village hall. Cllr Watt reported that the James Hargreaves Community Hall at Morcombelake is in full use and will be shut for two weeks for ceiling works.
Cllr Tubb reported that the Whitchurch Canonicorum Village Hall is not
getting enough revenue in. At the meeting it was discussed that improvements
are under way, a skittle alley is going to be placed within the hall,
web site discussed and several hall users have left the hall in a mess.
Cllr Bailey reported that she will not be attending the flood warden
meeting. The informal meeting will be dealing with sandbags given to
parishes liable of flooding and kept in a store ready for use when the
time comes. It was suggested that the Clerk write to properties liable
of flooding in Whitchurch Canonicorum to see if they would like sandbags
and perhaps do an article in the Char Chat at a later date.
Cllr Johnson
reported that she has had an e-mail from Hastoe Housing Association and
they have confirmed and that they are very disappointed that they have
not been successful in bidding for the land for affordable housing in
Whitchurch Canonicorum village, apparently another housing association
is in consultation with Humberts and the Church Lands Trust.
Cllr Creed-Castle
reported that the pond on the Ryall to Chideock footpath has had no permission
but is on the footpath map. She has spoken to the Environment Agency
and to take away the pond would have more impact on the environment so
better to be left. Cllr Creed-Castle reported that the person who reported
this matter was concerned about the Weld Estates Manager who is trying
to stop people walking this footpath as there will be shooting in the area and people should not walk it. It was agreed to place this matter on the agenda for the July meeting to discuss further.
Cllr Snook reported that she has reported potholes to Clarence.
Cllr Diment reported that the verges at Tizzards Knapp, Morcombelake
have been cut and hopes that the Taylors Lane, Morcombelake ones won't be forgotten this year. He also reported that Morcombelake Post Office have been given a reprieve for another two years.
Cllr Bailey asked if edge deterioration between Bridge Farm to Tap House,
Whitchurch Canonicorum can be reported. She also reported that the verges
in the area have not been cut.
Cllr Mansbridge reported that there are
two areas in Monkton Wyld Lane where water is coming up through the road
and needs to be reported to Dorset County Council. Action: Clerk

Update on Wootton Fitzpaine War Memorial Clock Works:
Cllr Snook reported
that £5,000 is needed and so far £3,300 has been pledged. A grant application to West Dorset District Council and the Lottery has been sent. If these are not successful perhaps an appeal to the villagers may help.
1919 Whitchurch Canonicorum Parish Meeting Report:
Cllr Johnson read
out a report from the Parish Meeting which included affordable housing,
floods, The Well House, Sewage Scheme and First Responders.
1920 Stanton
St Gabriel Parish Meeting:
Cllr Everidge read out a report from the Parish
Meeting which included heavy vehicles, SID, Muddyford Lane entrance,
coastal erosion, Frodshams bus stop, bus passes, Bopper Bus, Ring and
Ride, phone box closure, digital switchover and speed cameras.
1921 Resolution
to Agree Planning Area Representatives:
It was agreed that Cllr Bailey
look after Whitchurch Canonicorum area, Cllr Parr look after Ryall area,
Cllr Everidge look after Stanton St Gabriel area and Cllr Snook look
after the Wootton Fitzpaine area. Proposed by Cllr Ray, seconded by Cllr
Watt, all agreed.
1922 Resolution to Discuss Playground Equipment Inspections
and Repairs:
Cllr Johnson reported that Dale Wright had reported work
to be carried out on a couple items of the playground equipment. West
Dorset District Council will be carrying out an inspection to confirm
this. It was agree to wait until the inspection had been carried out
and highlighted problems and then decide who can do the repairs and who
has the appropriate liability insurance.
1923 Resolution to Discuss Whitchurch
Canonicorum Sewage Scheme:
It was agreed to involve Ryall, Morcombelake
and Stanton St Gabriel in this scheme as well. Cllr Johnson read out
an e-mail from Wessex Water and it was proposed by Cllr Parr, seconded
by Cllr Diment to try again and see if it would be possible to have mains
sewerage. It was agreed for the Clerk to contact Wessex Water. Action:

1924 Resolution to Discuss Future Management and the Issuing of
Sandbags to Protect Properties:
It was agreed that this matter had been
covered earlier.
1925 Finance:
Clerks Report/General Matters: The Clerk reported that BDO Stoy Hayward paperwork has been sent to Simon Christopher and a report of problems with play equipment in the Whitchurch Canonicorum playground.
Resolution for Payment Approvals:
Clerks Salary for June 2008, £285.04 and Whitchurch Canonicorum Village Hall, £17.50. Proposed by Cllr Sage, seconded by Cllr Snook, all agreed.
